Since 2017, James Dvorak has gone all-in for Republicans and conservatives, doing everything he can to support a better Republic. As Chair of the Cherokee County Republican Party (CCRP) from 2022 to 2023, his focus was to increase communication about the party’s values and initiatives with members and make every effort to facilitate contact between voters and Republican Candidates. James presided over numerous efforts to advance the Republican Party, including opening of a permanent headquarters which is still in operation and was the Trump regional headquarters in the 2024 election; gathering over 100 volunteers for an election audit; and hosting 7 out of 9 statewide candidates at CCRP events in the 2022 election cycle. As an attorney, James understands the legal system and will prepare the CCRP to fight against the Left’s ongoing lawfare campaign. James has been a martial artist for over a decade and holds a 2nd degree black belt. As such, he understands the importance of discipline, dedication and hard work, and brings these qualities to the role.
James returned to the chairmanship in December 2024 after the resignation of the former CCRP Chair. If re-elected CCRP Chair, James’ top priorities will be: 1) ensuring election integrity by having year-round trainings for poll watchers and election special monitors as well as recruiting Republican lawyers in Cherokee County for an in-county Election Day war room; 2) cultivating the next generation of Republican leaders with the first CCRP young professionals internship program; 3) keeping Cherokee RED by recruiting strong conservatives to run for local offices; and 4) growing and expanding our party by focusing on recruiting new members, engaging in voter outreach and prioritizing community visibility. Since resuming the role in December 2024, James has already begun working towards these priorities.
James brings a wealth of political experience to the role of CCRP Chair; in addition to holding that position from 2022-2023, he was the chairman of a large county GOP prior to moving to Georgia. James has sat on the executive committees of both of Cherokee County’s Congressional District GOPs (11th and 7th) and is a member of the GAGOP state committee. He is also the Vice Chair of the Georgia Young Republicans. He has knocked on thousands of doors, made as many phone calls, facilitated sign waving, organized text campaigns, and done just about every other type of “politicking” there is.
About James: A conservative Christian, James cut his teeth in politics while living in Maryland, but moved to Georgia for work with his lovely wife Brianne and their three sons. They chose Cherokee County because, coming from a blue state, they were ready to finally live in a Republican area! In his professional life, James is an attorney; he has worked in immigration and veterans law.
