Veterans and FR
Our veterans and first responders have stood for our nation under impossible circumstances. We support the community and acknowledge every sacrifice. We proud of our grandfathers, uncles, aunt, and brother who are American Heroes. Their loyalty and dedication have instilled within me a deep respect and understanding of the cost of American freedom.
There are many tragedies that befall our heroes. Homelessness, unemployment, and physical and mental health challenges all impact the veteran and first responder community at unacceptably high rates. We must act to alleviate these burdens from those who have already given so much. We promise to support veteran and first responder access to housing assistance; civilian job placement and training programs; and high-quality and timely physical and mental healthcare options.
We will support continued pressure to elicit transparency and accountability from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and legislation to ensure that the VA cares for veterans properly, including robust options for private medical care. We believe first-line first responders must have access to the same resources as well.
