The roundtable featured distinguished guests, including Georgia Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones and U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, and focused on expanding technical and skilled-trade pathways for high school students. Participants highlighted the CEC’s value to the local community and area employers, and noted that similar facilities could serve as a model for other Georgia counties seeking to strengthen workforce development and career-readiness opportunities statewide.
Outside the venue, a small group of demonstrators gathered to protest the event.
