His campaign is rooted in strong ties to the local community and a commitment to putting parents, students, and teachers first. Settlemyre is a U.S. Navy veteran who served honorably during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. His educational background includes an associate degree in Automotive Systems Technology, a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership, and a master’s degree in Public Administration. Professionally, he has worked in municipal fleet and security-related roles, including service with the City of Charlotte as a Fleet Technical Analyst and Global Security Administrator. He is also active in his church and community, having served in leadership and service capacities. “Tim Settlemyre understands discipline, leadership, and service,” Fowler added. “Those values belong in our schools.
