VFAF North Carolina State Chapter Endorses Navy Veteran Tim Settlemyre for Catawba County Board of Education CATAWBA COUNTY, NC

Lori Fowler, Operations Director of the Veterans for America First (VFAF) North Carolina State Chapter, today announced VFAF’s endorsement of Tim Settlemyre in his campaign for the Catawba County Board of Education in the 2026 election cycle. “At Veterans for America First, we believe that Saving America starts in education,” said Lori Fowler. “It is vital to protect our children from radical left indoctrination, and electing proven patriots to local school boards is one of the most important ways to ensure the future of our country.

MAGA.” Tim Settlemyre is a lifelong resident of Catawba County and lives in Conover. His campaign is rooted in strong ties to the local community and a commitment to putting parents, students, and teachers first. Settlemyre is a U.S. Navy veteran who served honorably during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. His educational background includes an associate degree in Automotive Systems Technology, a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership, and a master’s degree in Public Administration. Professionally, he has worked in municipal fleet and security-related roles, including service with the City of Charlotte as a Fleet Technical Analyst and Global Security Administrator. He is also active in his church and community, having served in leadership and service capacities. “Tim Settlemyre understands discipline, leadership, and service,” Fowler added. “Those values belong in our schools.
